Tom Cruise was born on July 3, 1962 in New York City to Mary Lee(Mother) and Thomas Cruise Mapother III (Father).

Childhood-

According to the interviews given by Tom Cruise, his father used to beat him and bully him when he was a child. His father died when Tom was 22 years old. It was also revealed that Tom hated his father. Therefore, it can be said that Tom Cruise had a tough childhood.

Entry into the Film Industry-

Tom Cruise was very good-looking and handsome guy since he was a child. He was very fond of movies and at a very early age of 19 he made his first appearance in the Hollywood film Taps and Endless Love. But his first major role as a leading actor was in 1983 film "Losin' It".

His stardom grew very soon and the Film Critics acknowledged his work and he was very famous amoungst masses as well.
