Common things that happen in life.
Let's take a moment to see what's under the sun today.
Writing is a good way of taking a look at yourself. A majority of people already figured out that their life is a reflection of themselves and that is why I think it's understandable that we are on our way to a brighter society. And a question that keeps bugging me is on how some of us just seem to have a natural knack of being happy and some of us don't. Let see if we can figure this out a bit more.
I have been a very busy bee all my life. I took charge of my life when I was 15 and created so much fun and so many people around me that every day was a party. I used to love life and everything it had to offer me. I looked at life from different viewpoints. I argued with people when they were having a difficult time opening their minds more. I have been called weird, not-normal, wrong, stupid and what not but never has any one ever said that I was not worth being friends with. No one dumped me because of these things. So I can say that I was an overall happy person.
This only stands if I wasn't home. Yes, I'm a cliché, an archetype of happy on the outside and unhappy on the inside. Not that my happiness was a fake, no, no. As long as I was among people, I really felt happy inside out.
Coming home was rather the depressive side of the picture here. Dad died when I was 8, mom-relationship wasn't what I had in mind. But hey, we got through it. I never considered myself as an unhappy person. It was what it was.
Then one day, I met this guy. Wow, he was something. I felt this was the one, my soul mate, my other half. It took him some time to get to that point but eventually he even married me. We moved abroad twice and back to where we came from. We got four kids. Then we emigrated and eventually we got divorced.
All very common things that happen in life. There is no way I will find my answer there. I can only find the answer inside of me. That is where the key lays. That is where the unhappiness brews. I have everything I need in life, a job, beautiful up-growing children, nice little house with a 50 km wide view, a car, a cat and books. Nothing is missing, except for a couple of arms around me every now and then or a conversation with an adult whom I don't need to raise and teach. But is that it? Can a partner be the only one responsible for not having the feeling of happiness? No. Of course not. Who would want that responsibility?

The world is a reflection of me
So, we are back where we started. My life is a reflection of me....
I have no friends in the neighborhood. My attitude has made me so isolated that no one cares anymore because I only complain and talk about myself (can't really blame them).
Even at work I started to get faces in response of what I said and those responses make me unhappy. I know I have a right to my own opinion but it's not my fault (or is it?) that they are what they are.
Those faces appear whenever I express something that is other then the groups opinion. And you know what? It makes me feel small and insignificant. I love thinking wider then most people. I like making other people think about what they say. I like making people aware of what they are doing to themselves. I like to think of myself as a person who tries to get loose from all the indoctrination we are being exposed to and one way to do that is to try to see things from as many viewpoints as possible.
Yes, that makes me exposed too and yes, I can make a fool of myself. And yes, I feel alone. And yes, I don't mind.
BUT, there is no way I want to be treated as some alien. There is no way that I am different. If any one is different, it is those who follow a crowd and think the same.
We are individuals. We are born into this world alone and we leave that same world alone. Everything that's in between is your story which only you write. That's right. Only you.

Having an opinion is okay but still ...
Our nature is to create what is best for ourselves. We love, play, sing, work, live life with others but we are always alone. That's a hard thing to capture but except from dying it's the only thing we can be sure of. It is exactly that what makes us one. We are one group of many individuals who have the right to live life as we see fit for our own health, sanity, loving nature.
Over the ages, man has build society because they lacked this inside. Ooh, there were men who have spoken of this. But they were placed under special surveillance: Plato, Einstein to name two of them... ever since man's existence we have been individuals. What went wrong? Nothing. It was our right to build a feeling of unity. I understand a glimpse of how it came about. Here is an example: sometimes two people can make love and have this feeling of being one. This feeling fills us with a certain joy that we would like to feel as long as possible, rather every second of the day. That kind of feeling is the feeling that makes us want to unite. The only thing that was of our wrong-doing was and is still the empowerment of united opinions. This is where we started to forget about our individuality. We wanted it for us, not for one self.
I am not saying or stating that all united opinions are wrong. I am talking about opinions about medicines: for example, pain killers help you! Why do we go on stating that when we all know it's not. Opinions about politics: for example, we can't go without politics. Whatever do we need them for then to feed their ego's? We are certainly not getting better of it, do we? Opinions about food: for example, coca cola is good. No it's not.
These are just three examples of a billion opinions we all care to share and we never even think about them anymore because if we do, we need to make changes and to make changes we need to discuss and to discuss we need to respect one another so much as to accept that we are one and all different: we are unique. I am convinced that most collected thoughts can be revised to better thoughts and opinions in order to be more respectful for and to ourselves. Because honestly, I don't believe we shape our world to become better and tolerant. I think we only pull this unity stunt for greed. And in order to be satisfied we need to unite our thoughts so we can be righteous to get what we want: more cars, more tv:s, more medicine, more, more more and more.

We choose to be greedy.
So why? Why we should do that?
That is the easiest answer there is. Because we are all after the same thing. As individual we all love ourselves and we all love our fellow humans. That is what every one of us is after. You are born with it and you'll die with it. That's a truth! Love.
I know it sounds old but hey, I sure didn't come up with it. I only feel it, every time I think of it. It is the basic feeling that every living human has. Love. We like to complicate things but life is very simple actually. Love! We need to focus on what is best for us and not on our greed.
Now, to return to our question about natural happiness. We are all born with love. Yes, we are. There has never ever been a child born into this world without getting a boost of love. If not the parents wanted the child, maybe the nurse or midwife or doctor or who ever was there has had feeling of love for that new born baby. Even if the child was given away or unwanted by the mother or father. Maybe the child was born in a dark alley somewhere, with the help of the power a woman has, it was born into this world with love and no one can convince me otherwise. There is love involved.
People around the world meditate, pray, send light, or whatever practice they do in order to empower the creation of an enlightened civilization... that is love. For every human and living creature intended. Everything is born in love.
A child to a woman being pregnant of her rapist, is a child consumed from love. Ooh, I know there are many people who are growing gray hair now but I do believe that even a rapist is in search for love. Can it not be possible? Please think before making your opinion here. Is there a slight chance that this opinion holds a possibility? If your answer is yes, you follow me on what I stated earlier. If your answer is yes, then you are on your way to accept the individual in you and respect that. We don't need more extreme braggers of “an opinion”. Leave the bragging behind and accept the fact that you can think. That is love for your individualism.
It is a fact that people make themselves unhappy. Maybe because we brag about to many things. Maybe because we want to have an opinion. Maybe because we want to stand out. Who will tell?

Give yourself a break.
Just think for a minute. 1 minute. Ask yourself: What happens, what do you feel if you accept your individualism? Yes, do it, take a minute and think about that.
Can you feel how the world opens up? Can you feel the feeling? Can you allow it?
Just think for a minute. 1 minute. Ask yourself: What happens, what do you feel if you accept the feeling of a new born, human or animal or vegetation? Yes, do it, take a minute and think about that.

Just think for a minute. 1 minute. Ask yourself: What happens, what do you feel if you accept an unhappy feeling? Death for example? Yes, do it, take a minute and think about that.
Can you feel how the world opens up? Can you feel the feeling? Can you allow it?
These are the basic feelings in life. These are the basics OF life. Accept.
And still, there are times, days sometimes that I want to leave the world and hope to believe in reincarnation. Maybe I can do it better next time?
Natural unhappiness does not exist. It is you who puts those feelings in your heart. And life doesn't come with instructions but know this. If you keep a hold on those basics you are at least giving it a shot at getting better.
