Hollywood The Gift
There are tons of actors that have made the sets in Hollywood their home: Many of these actors have shined brightly, becoming the star who's light shines through that silver screen brighter than the rest. Many good actors (male and female) bringing us into the world they have made for themselves in a great big budget of make believe. But, it's not so much the actor that gets recognized, it's the metamorphic change that entices the onlooker, and it's that metamorphosis that helps us to escape from the real world and slide into someone else's shoes, well, for a while at least. The actor literally ceases to exist -- Is that a bad thing? No, that's good acting.
Hollywood is not a beautiful place. Much of it is quite ugly, beat down, dirty, smog central, and infested with crime and skid row homeless people. the place itself might have been something to brag about when Marilyn Monroe was alive but -- not so much anymore. Now this legendary town in California, if anything, is worth talking about because of celebrities like Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, and many more other famous actors.
Places like Universal Studios has been the location that has filled my life with reasons to live. The movies produced in these said places have helped me forget about my own world of crud, cheered me up, entertained me, brought love to my heart, filled my spirit, and kept me busy by filling me with not just inspiration, but, aspiration. It's safe to say that I'm a movie buff and proud of it.
Hollywood might not be what it used to be when it comes to being new, fresh, and free of visible strife, but, it is still beautiful as far as I'm concerned. Why? Because within Hollywood's limits there is magic that will never disappear. Hollywood is the home of entertainment, and I am grateful for the gifts it has given me -- gifts that have been given to me from the studios, as well as, the sea of actors Hollywood harbors presently, and in its archives.
