As children who were still learning their ABC’s, one thing we aspired to be was a teacher around whom our entire world revolved. Times changed and so did we, developing great admiration towards the glamorous life of those whose images featured on glossy magazine covers regularly. Adopting their alluring Sardanapalian lifestyle was the sole aim of our lives. It was only as adolescents that we realized that choosing a career is not as easy as making one. It involves a person to strive, strive hard. Some reckon their passion to be promising as a career option, others believe in fulfilling their parents’ dream, while some roam around blank as a fresh sheet of paper. The answer to the question, “Who decides my career?” is indubitably ME. At the end of the day, it is your life and your wish what you want to pursue. There would be many people who might light up the career you choose negatively. It may be because they don’t find it befitting.But everyone’s mindset is different and unique. As unique as your tongue print. (Yes, everyone’s tongue print is unique.) Therefore, an ideal career choice should not be one affected by social pressure. It should be the one that satisfies the person’s desire. It is undoubtedly angelic to be selfless yet when it comes to career making, self made choices are the best and preferable. If you go wrong, it was you who went wrong. You won’t have someone else to blame for your maffick filled life. There are people who think the best for you, like your parents, but their happiness lies in the happiness of their children. Parents ultimately make their child’s choice their own. Albeit it is always wise to consider the suggestions made by parents since what they want for you would also be the best from their perspective. Ultimately, though, it will be your take entirely. But it’s not always people who decide your career, there are other factors that pertain in this case.

Get A Head Start On Things

The period of preadulthood is the most crucial in our lives. It is during this time that we build the foundation for our career to grow upon. Everything that we do during this time would somewhere reflect in our personality in the future. Our choices, our decisions, how methodical we are, what kind of a person we are—Everything. The structure would only sustain when the foundation would be well built. Therefore, it is from this very stage in our lives that we should take life seriously and groom ourselves into better human beings and decision makers. For instance, if a person is good at handling responsibilities then the person might be a potential candidate for an advocator or director at some high-end MNC. If someone can see through a scrap of cloth as another fashion statement then the person might make a spark in the fashion industry. It is better if a person descries the talent and chooses his career early. Since that would buy the person time to nurture him/her self into an impeccable personality.

Do Not Scurry

It is not wise to rush into things and make decisions. You might feel an inclination towards a certain profession or field. Yet you need to be sure about your interest and capability. Something might seem greatly appealing yet it might be highly demanding. That is where the interest and capability come into play.

Be An Aware Individual

A well informed and cognizant person who knows about the world is likely to be better positioned than others in life. It is always good to know about the developments and game changers around us. About twenty years ago from now, the world was abuzz with the new computer profession. It was said to be one of the massive fields ever. And today, we have proof. Every second person aspires to be an engineer. The people who entered the field when it was freshly introduced have ample amount of opportunities and discoveries to make in the field. Those people are indeed successful in life today. New opportunities, discoveries, growing fields, there is so much more to explore.

When new opportunities come our way, it is preferable to seek professional help. An experienced professional or senior can guide us much better in life.
