Could Shotgun Garfunkel Go Viral?

Buddy Comedy By Ghost sheep.

The crew consisting of members of Johannesburg based production houses, Localala, Team Best and Ghost Sheep will be attempting to beat the current Guinness record which is held by India which went from script writing to screening in 11 days 23 hours and 45 minutes.

Striking Out BlindLy

Some of the restrictions of the film project was that it should not have a name at the time when the team got together on the first of May 2013. Further restrictions were that there should be no pre-selected characters, no single page of dialogue or story-arcs at that point. Shotgun Garfunkel could possibly be classified as a “buddy comedy” bringing together a bunch of thirty something, friends in their pursuit of a legendary night out.

Record Breaking Film Sivappa Mazai

The film was completed within the parameters set out for the project in which the cut off date was set for today, 11May 2013. The previous record holding film is “Sivappa Mazhai”, an action musical film which was made in Kolkata using a crew of over 1000 was a two hour-three minute long feature was made in a world record time of 11 days, 23 hours and 45 minutes done from script to screening. As far as I can tell, “Shotgun Garfunkel” used much fewer crew members.
