MAN CITY V SUNDERLAND
The Champions certainly are not firing on all cylinders at present but seem to be doing just enough to stay in touching distance of early pace-setters Chelsea.
A 2-1 victory away to Fulham last week was less than convincing, especially after falling behind in the opening stages of the game, but that does show how much grit and determination they possess as a team.
Sunderland gained their first victory of the campaign last week with a narrow 1-0 win over Wigan with the only goal once again being scored by Steven Fletcher, who has netted 100% of Sunderland's goals to date. Not a good stat for the Black Cats who desperately need other players to start chipping in.
I can't see that happening in this game however and foresee Man City winning this game relatively easily.
My prediction MAN CITY 2 V 0 SUNDERLAND.

CHELSEA V NORWICH
With all due respect to Norwich, this has got to be as close to a gimme in football as possible!
Chelsea sit proud and pretty at the peak of the table whilst The Canaries are in the relegation zone and I certainly don't anticipate them climbing out of it this weekend!
The Blues scored a tremendous victory last week away to Arsenal and at home this weekend they should have a much easier game, scoring a good few goals too.
Mata and Oscar will revel in their roles against a weak opposition midfield and defence and Torres will relish the chance of adding to his goal tally with at least a brace.
I think the best Norwich can hope for is a narrow defeat but if Chelsea net early this could be a rout.
My prediction CHELSEA 4 V 0 NORWICH

SWANSEA V READING
This could be a very close game with much to play for for both teams.
Swansea, after a great start to their season, have stuttered somewhat recently and are fresh off a three game run were they have lost each game without scoring a goal!
They still sit above Reading who are one place off the bottom, but the Royals took a point off fancied Newcastle last week, with the Magpies equalising goal being very dubious indeed with more than a hint of handball from the goal-scorer Ba.
If this game was being played at Reading I would probably just sway towards them but as it is in Wales I think this will end up a point apiece, after 90 minutes of hard fought footy.
My prediction SWANSEA 1 V 1 READING.

WBA V QPR
West Bromwich Albion, in 6th place as it stands, will be more than happy with their start to the season, which is in complete contrast to Queen's Park Rangers, who hold the rest of the table up in last spot with their manager Mark Hughes already being tipped to lose his job in the near future.
WBA scored a decent away point at local rivals Aston Villa last week whilst QPR were also involved in a local derby, but they got comprehensively beaten by an impressive West Ham team, although the 2-1 scoreline would suggest it was closer than it actually was.
If Mark Hughes is to stand any chance of extending his tenure at the helm at Loftus Road then this is a must win game.
He has to start the talented but volatile Taarabt and get stuck into the Baggies early, else I see them struggling once again.
WBA have looked solid throughout thus far and I think they will be able to withstand QPR's challenge but I foresee a hard fought, battling and somewhat nasty game peppered with cards all resulting in a stalemate with goals.
My prediction WBA 2 V 2 QPR

WIGAN V EVERTON
Wigan have shown some good quality at times so far this season but I think the mightily impressive Toffeemen will prove to much of an obstacle this Saturday.
With the likes of Steven Pienaar and Marouanne Fellaini, commanding in midfield,Leighton Baines, overlapping down the left providing some delicious crosses and the very in-form Jelavic, who seems to hit the back of the net with every touch of the ball, Wigan will do immensely well to get anything out of this fixture.
I do not think their midfield and defence will be good enough to keep Everton at bay, and although they have a highly regarded manager in Martinez, I can only see this result going one way. Wigan may snatch a consolation goal.

WEST HAM V ARSENAL
The Saturday evening game sees a great London derby.
The Hammers sit one place and two points ahead of Arsenall as we speak but this will be their biggest test so far. A very pleasing victory at QPR on Monday night plus the return of giant striker Andy Carroll will have West Hambubbling with confidence. But the Gunners will definitely make life hard with the gulie of Santi Carzola and the pace of the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott.
The Gunners do look a little vulnerable in defence and with Matt Jarvis supplying a multitude of crosses to Carroll I do belive West Ham will score at least a goal.
But West Ham's defence can also be liable to slip ups so I expect a fair few net bulges in this 90 minutes of football.
My prediction WEST HAM 2 V 2 ARSENAL

SOUTHAMPTON V FULHAM
Southampton having climbed out of the relegation zone the previous week, missed out last week after sacrificing a 1-0 lead away to Everton to eventually go down 3-1.
Fulham also gave up an early lead in their 2-1 defeat at home to Man City.
Both teams can play some good football but once again, both look a tad vulnerable at the back. Fulham's Berbatovlooks likely to miss out again through injury, which will be a relief to the Saints defenders although they do still pose a threat with Petric.
Look out for Ricky Lambert to continually frighten the lives out of the Fulham backs and almost definitely find the back of the net methinks.
This will be tight but I think the home team will out score the away.
My prediction SOUTHAMPTON 2 V 1 FULHAM.

LIVERPOOL V STOKE
Liverpool appear to be moving through the gears at last after demolishing Norwich 5-2 last week, with a hat-trick from Luis Suarez.
Stoke were also triumphant after beating Swansea 2-0 with a brace from Peter Crouch.
This game will offer a completely different obstacle to the Potters though and I think Tony Pulis will send his team out looking to spoil Liverpool's passing game.
If they manage to do so the crowd will become frustrated and it will get ever harder as the game goes on for the Reds to find scoring opportunities.
If, however, Liverpool assert their authority quickly and nick an early goal, this could turn into quite an interesting and open match.

TOTTENHAM V ASTON VILLA
Tottenham will be brim full of confidence after their first away win at Man Utd in 22 years last week. A stunning first half performance was the key to that victory and Spurs will be looking to continue their good form against a very under-performing Villa side that has staggered and stuttered their way to 5 points from 6 games.
Darren Bent will be one to watch for the Villains as he attempts to score against his old club and may well do so, but, I believe Spurs will destroy a newly created Villa defence and win this game at a canter.
My prediction TOTTENHAM 4 V 1 ASTON VILLA

NEWCASTLE V MAN UTD
Both sides will be disappointed with their results last week but Man Utd much more so than Newcastle.
Rooney, Van Persie and Co. will be looking to make amends for defeat against Spurs last week but will not have an easy task against a talented Newcastle team with striker Demba Ba in awesome form. Man United's defence looks decidedly rocky and Ba will relish the opportunity to continue his prolific form in front of goal, which I think he will!
Rooney and van Persie for Man U do look like their forming quite a formidable partnership up front for the Red Devils and I think this game will be more about that pairing scoring more than Ba and Cisse for their opponents. This will be a cracker!!!!
My prediction NEWCASTLE 3 V 3 MAN UTD
Some great matches in store this weekend, I for one will be glued to it all!!
Have a lovely day all
